ST. LOUIS (Sep. 20, 2023) – The Lindbergh Flyers Girls Varsity Golf team defeated Northwest High School, 165-246, Wednesday night at Quail Creek Golf Course. Reese Reinhardt (11) shot 1 under par, with a 35, and continues to lead the flyers to multiple victories.
“Reese Reinhardt is significant to the team. Her determination, dedication and hard-work always pays off and encourages the rest of the team to secure a victory. Her skill level, low-scores and consistency is also a priority. I hope to see her go far this season and place in state,” LHS Coach Michael Tyler said.
Overall, as a team, this was the lowest match score for Lindbergh in many years. The individuals averaged a score of 41 with almost all of the girls shooting in the 40s. This is a huge accomplishment for the team.
“This match was awesome. Senior Mila Snowert eagled hole 17 and Reese had her second sub-par round this season. Senior Allie Boeger also shot her lowest score yet. This season has been monumental and lots of fun. It’s nice not having to worry since all of my girls are shooting great and consistently,” Tyler said.
After beating Northwest, they currently have a 6-0 record. The team plans to go undefeated, which would be a first in Lindbergh’s golf history.
The Flyers face Oakville at The Club at Castle Bluff this Tuesday. They then have a trimatch versus Parkway South and Fox at their home course, Quail Creek, on Wednesday. After this, the team will be done with match play.
The Flyers begin conference next week, Tuesday, October 3, at Crescent Farms Golf Club. The team swept the 2022 Red Pool Conference last year, which they hope to do again. Let’s see some medals soon ladies!
