ST. LOUIS – October 3rd, 2023 – Lindbergh JV Boys Soccer fights for a victory beating the
Eureka Wildcats 1-0, Tuesday afternoon at Flyer’s Stadium. Defender Max Karcher (10) scored the one and only goal that Tuesday afternoon. Coming off of the bench, Karcher was put in the game at the position left wing, being able to run up the line, he easily scored a goal from the end zone.
“Max had a day today; he was working since the second he came off the bench,” Brody Busby said. “Maybe we should keep him at left wing.”
In total, Lindbergh Flyers had to play their hearts out on defense, making it the whole game
without letting in a goal. Karcher scored right at the 10 minute mark in the first half of the
game, giving a lot of momentum for the boys defense.
The Flyers opened up the second half with fire in their eyes. Hoping to win the game, the boys
relied on defense to take the team to victory.
The Flyers never had a doubt in the end of the second half of the game. The team’s offense was
very confident in their defense. The Flyers showed the Eureka wildcats how to win a game without offense.
